João Diniz Lira

João Diniz Lira, better known for his artistic name Dizin, is a young 20-year-old musician from São Paulo, Brazil, born in June 2002. Son of Lirinha, the lead singer of Cordel do Fogo Encantado, he grew up surrounded by musical instruments and breathed music from early on. During childhood, he lived in the United Kingdom, where he had his first contact with the English language, the artist’s chosen idiom for songwriting. Started his music career at the beginning of 2019, at 16 years old, when he published on YouTube a cover of “Desconstruindo Amélia”, by Pitty, which led him to meet the artist’s band and made him close with guitarist Martin Mendonça. Later that same year, he released his first single titled “Time to Rise”, produced by Martin, with Thiago Guerra (Fresno) on the drums. At the end of 2020, Martin produced Dizin’s first álbum, with 12 tracks, “The Time Has Come”. Released in April 2021, when the artist was 18 years old, the album had the participation of André Dea (Supercombo / Sugar Kane), Tofu Valsechi (Lab. Fantasma’s sound engineer), Gui Almeida (Pitty) and Paulo Kishimoto (Pitty / Forgotten Boys / Riviera Gaz), and received praise from renowned critics such as the journalist Lúcio Ribeiro. Later on, Dizin was responsible for producing "Fugindo da Mesmice", debut album of Desatentos, his parallel project.
