<br/>Antigone Project was created by Frenchman and Parisian Frédéric Benmussa at the beginning of the 2000’s years; he will be joined in 2005 by Fred Monaco and Manu Ventre (former members of Mickey 3D one of the famous pop French band (more than 500 000 sold copies)) respectively on the drum and bass, Nico Nonnotte will also be the additional lead guitarist until 2015. In 2002 Frederic Benmussa met Yamani “Momo” Dazi, who were artistic director at V2 label, CEO of the label Big Cheese Records and manager of many musician like Housse de Racket or Elephanz under the label Samla Music, he will become editor of the first EP of Antigone Projec. In 2006, Antigone Project is kindly invited to play with Moriarty (a famous pop French band) at La fleche d’or in Paris for their first gig. Then, during many years, Antigone Project focused on the composition and the elaboration of its own “sound” with the creation of dozens of songs in French and English while trying to keep an eclecticism and a personnal identity at the same time which will evolved in a rock-electro prog music whose some will name it “space rock”. After a long academic journey of Frederic Benmussa until the obtention of a Phd in Neuroscience but while continuing producing dozens of songs in home studio, the band is ready to come back on stage multiplying shows in Paris on famous venues like la Flèche d’or, Le bus Palladium, l’Alhambra, la Machine du Moulin rouge, or even tywice le Bataclan as well as in other French cities (Lille, Lyon, Nancy, Rouen etc…) and also in other countries as Spain (the famous “Razzmatazz” in Barcelona) or Morocco. In 2014, Antigone Project signed a contract with Dooweet Agency to make the promotion of the first 7 titles EP of Antigone Project which receive many positive reviews around the world in many differents press styles. Finally, the project focused on live video projection for its shows in order to create a more and more personal atmosphere, this so called space rock. In 2015, Antigone Project is still working with the label Samla Music and Dooweet Agency which also even become theirco-manager. At the end of 2015 this leads to the release in november 2015 of à “side” projet called “from its room” with the production of a first white 180g limited numerated vinyl called “1st” in binary code with original songs also available on itunes. For now on, Antigone project will continue to appear in few show on prestigious venue like the bus palladium in Paris or Montereau Confluences festival 2016 (with Garbage, Michel Polnareff, Aaron etc…) But will mainly focus on the production of a complete album with a space rock opera style with the creation of a character who won’t be revealed until the release and added production of videoclip and defend it on stage with a tour.
